About 1:1

Don’t walk behind me, for I may not lead
Don’t walk ahead of me, for I may not follow,
Walk alongside me and be my friend
.”

— Albert Camus

The quote above summarizes 42’s approach to space holding- two equals walking alongside one another.

I am honored to walk alongside you as you embark upon this potentially transformative experience with 42, the medicines I (Osher) am a custodian of.

This document offers some insight into the process, logistics and more.

The process includes the following:
- Preparation: consists of calls with Osher and/ or Ajah.
- In person retreat: 2 nights stay and a full day of ceremony in the middle
- Integration: consists of calls with Osher and Ajah

The minimum length of stay for a 1:1  is 2 nights, with ceremony day being the day in the middle. Additional days may be added towards additional ceremonies and / or integration.

What is not included: Room and board, travel costs if outside Miami.

Legality: The House of 42 is a 501c3 Faith based organization, its medicines, ceremonies and practices are protected under the Religious Freedom Restoration Act.

Waiver: Please be sure to read and sign this waiver prior to your arrival. We cannot begin the process without it. www.Houseof42.org/waiver

Preparation + Integration: In preparation to our time together and in integration thereafter, you will meet with a practitioner who is both a licensed therapist and a clairvoyant. Upon confirmation of your date please get in touch to receive her contact details.

Location: When booking ceremonies outside of our go-to property where we are servers in residence, we are free to book any place that meets the recommended criteria. The ideal place is a spacious and private property, on a ground floor, with direct access to nature, abundance of natural light, high ceilings, that is visually and physically clean and organized and has a sufficient number of beds and bedrooms. We have preferred locations around the world and are happy to travel to new ones.

What to bring?
1. Your avatar
2. Personal toiletries including toothbrush and toothpaste
3. Swimsuit
4. Comfy clothes for ceremony- avoid black if you can.
5. Change of clothes, layers
6. Ceremony blanket*
7. A reusable water bottle*
8. Your journal and pen*
*If you forgot / don’t have one, we got you.
Optional: sacred personal items for altar.

Session timeline: We meet for a minimum of two nights, the day sandwiched in the middle is ceremony day. We always arrive on location before sundown the day prior to ceremony. Plan to be offline for the duration of the stay. Upon arrival we will take a tour of the property to acclimate you and allow us to ground. We will settle into our rooms and turn off tech and other worldly distractions. We then sit down for an opening conversation, in preparation for the next day, after which we turn to our respective quarters. Curfew is no later than 11pm. You will be woken up on time for your session. We meet in the main space when ready, give an offering. Pending on fit, you may be offered fire medicine, which is a brief yet intense experience. We then go on to open ceremony. Still on an empty stomach, you will have your first dose. Frequency and size of dosings is personal and is determined in real time. Sessions start around 9am and usually come to a close around 6pm or so. Upon completion you may be offered fire. Upon completion we say closing words. We then share a grounding dinner/ Our day normally concludes no later than 9pm, at which point the work for the day is complete. In the morning after your session, we share a tea / juice or a light meal and discuss integration before partying ways. We may opt to stay in order to ground and process for a while longer.

Independent research: Are you curious to have a brain report of YOUR brain pre and post macro session? Here you can! Participate in a discrete research on the effect of psilocybin using EEG from the comfort of your own home. Research studies are independent of 42 and self funded by the purchase of study kits. Please be sure to address research -related questions directly with psynautics. https://www.psynautics.com/citizen-neuroscience

Agency: While many, if not all, find the experience deeply healing, I do not refer to it as a “healing” nor do I refer to myself as a “healer”. A healing would imply the server to take the active role of a healer and the person served to be in the passive role of getting healed. Instead, I think of it as an active process on behalf of the person being served, to which the server holds space to. If trauma is any loss of agency, this process is very much about reclaiming agency. So even when working with children, I  simply refer to this process as “work”. Come ready to do work.

Disconnect to connect: Plan to be offline for the duration of our time together. (~6pm on evening before session till ~12pm on day after session). During this time- no tech, no media, no books or journals (writing is fine), no smartwatch.. no distractions whatsoever. Notify the people close to you you will be offline during that time. You will be handing off your tech prior to beginning of work and will receive it after work is completed. If need be you may give them your server’s phone #.

Recommended: Take a video titled “BEFORE”. This is for you and you alone. Speak to the camera, for at least two entire minutes. How are you doing right now? You don’t have to share this video with me or anyone else, but please be sure to take one. your “AFTER” self will thank you.

Weeks and days prior: If possible- avoid all psychoactive substances, including alcohol, cannabis, recreational substances and non life- saving pharmaceutical drugs for as long as you can prior to your session. If you are on antidepressants consult with your me on whether and when to taper down. Be certain to disclose all drug intake. Do your best to arrive well rested and well hydrated.

Integration: Your work doesn’t end when your session does. In fact, that is when the real work begins. Recognizing that integration is a crucial and often neglected part of medicine work, I have constructed this offering as a package deal- integration accountability is a major part of it. Much like post surgery, it is best to plan the immediate days after your session to have as much free time for R&R.  as possible. We will discuss in person more integration recommendations. Community: If you have yet to join 42 whatsapp group- I lovingly invite you to. This group chat is a safe place to discuss and share all things 42 in micro and macro forms. www.HouseOf42.club

Privacy: I hold this work sacred. Unless people explicitly give permission to share about their experience  (which many do) for the benefit of others, I share nothing

Dues and accessibility: Committed to keep this work accessible and not let it become a thing of privilege, for as long as I have been doing this work, I have never turned anyone away for lack or shortage of financial means, essentially self funding the scholarship fund myself. and. While serving on the road and not from my home, the costs of this already time and resource intensive process are significantly higher. If you are an individual in financial need please consult with us. We can offer you a discounted or fully sponsored spot at one of our day events.

Traveling private ceremonies fees depend on the number of people, location and a number of nights. In order not to discourage the less financially able, we opt not to publish contribution rates. Kindly inquire if relevant, we will send the link to our rates page.

Secure your date: To secure your date- please submit a nonrefundable deposit of $1800 on the preferred date on www.Houseof42.org. PLEASE BE SURE TO COVER TRANSACTION FEES. To avoid Fees, use zelle: Hello@Houseof42.org. House of 42 is a 501c3 and all contributions are tax deductible.

Paying it forward: If you are called to and are able to support others coming to this work, as well as other aspects of growing its impact, please consider making a contribution to the 501c3 to sponsor others in need by way of partial or full scholarship. In supporting our ability to keep this work accessible independently of means, you can not only transform lives, but save them.

Looking forward to sharing space with you soon.

Osher.
